Install Lumen

Use the /download/ page to select the operating system and CPU architecture. The manual describes published stable v0.18.0; sections labeled unreleased / main require a newer source build. Verify the version and published asset before comparing its UI with this manual.

Prerequisites: macOS, Windows, or Linux; a kubeconfig for later use. Installation changes only the local computer.

1. Download a published asset for your exact platform and architecture.
2. Apply the platform’s normal signature/quarantine checks. Do not bypass a warning without verifying the GitHub release and project guidance.
3. Launch Lumen and open Settings to confirm the displayed version.
4. Continue to your first cluster.

If no compatible published asset exists, build from source using Contribute. A draft or manual baseline is not a generally available release.
